Botswana

Botswana is a land of unique experiences and changing landscapes. From the untouched, vast open plains and ancient riverbeds of the Kalahari to the sparkling lagoons and palm islands of the Okavango Delta.
From the distinct eco systems and incredible concentration of wildlife of the Chobe National Park, Botswana is a true journey of discovery.

To visit Botswana is to experience big game - lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena, impala, zebra, wildebeest and the elusive wild dog. As you would expect birdlife is also prolific. Botswana is uncrowded and unspoilt, offering luxury camps and a wealth of opportunities for spotting game from the traditional mokoro for a waterborne safari experience to walking and 4WD safaris.

Best times to go:
June to August is peak season for most safari areas as the land is dry in most areas so the animals congregate around the few available water sources.  This continues into September and October, when temperatures climb again, drying the landscapes and concentrating the game even more. This is the best time for big game safaris.
