Days 2-4 Katavi National Park Fly
from Arusha into Katavi arriving in time for lunch. Hidden in the shade
of acacias, on the edge of the Chada Plain, the 6 guests tents of Chada
Katavi are airy and romantic with shade netting windows allowing the
breeze to flow through. Take a walking safari deep into Katavi’s
untamed world and experience a side of Africa that takes flight at the

Days 5-8 Katavi/Mahale On
arrival, you will be transported by dhow to the tiny sanctuary of
Greystoke Mahale, located on the eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika. 6
exotic bandas (cottages) are tucked beneath the palms on the edge of
the lake and the camp exudes a natural opulence. Lamp lit dinners on
the dhow with ice cold cocktails are the perfect end to the day. A
rainforest trek takes you to Mahale’s chimpanzees, which is home to the
largest known population of these primates. Sit and watch quietly as
they go about their daily life grooming, wrestling, bickering and
mothering. The sparkling waters of Lake Tanganyika offer the chance to

Day 9 Arusha Leave Mahale for Arusha where your tour ends. Why not add in a beach extension and continue on to the spice island of Zanzibar.
