Travel from Lake Manyara National Park to the Ngorongoro Crater, a
spectacular barrier that encircles a flat crater floor where wildlife
freely roam. Finish in what is arguably the most magnificent of all the
parks in Africa, the Serengeti.
Day 1 Lake Manyara Depart
from Arusha for Lake Manyara, famous for its tree climbing lions,
elephants and large troops of baboons. The park is also a birding
paradise and its lush green forests are one of the best places to see
leopard. Overnight Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. (FB)
Day 2 Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Crater The
Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area is located between Lake Manyara and
the Serengeti where scenic splendour and stunning vistas are the norm.
The local Maasai have permission to graze their cattle on the crater
floor and it is not unusual to see Maasai cattle and buffalo grazing
with lion just metres away. 2 nights Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge. (FB)
Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater Perched on the edge of the crater, your lodge affords endless views over
the heat shimmering haze of the crater below. Enjoy bush walks and game
drives before the sinking sun sets the crater walls ablaze.
Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater/Serengeti With
its seemingly endless grass plains and the biggest skies in the world,
the Serengeti is quintessential Africa. Enormous seasonal herds of
zebra and wildebeest cross these plains tailed by predators. The
migration is said to be the largest movement of animals on the planet. 3 nights Serengeti Safari Camp. (FB)
Days 5-6 Serengeti The
Serengeti Safari Camp is small and exclusive with just 4 safari tents.
All you have to do is arrive in camp at the end of each exciting game
filled day to hot showers and an ice filled gin and tonic. The day ends
with dinner under the stars.
