Day 4 Metung If you plan your arrival into Metung for mid afternoon you should have time for a cruise around Australia’s largest inland waterway, the Gippsland Lakes. This region is filled with colourful fishing villages, the turquoise waters of lakes and rivers, isolated beaches and rugged coastal outcrops. Overnight Chestnut Hill Country Retreat. Day 5 Phillip Island Phillip Island is a wildlife and nature lover’s paradise. Share a beach with hungry pelicans, see a colony of fur seals splashing in the sun and walk with the little penguins that emerge from the sea at dusk. Overnight Glen Isla House. (Bed and Breakfast)
