Day 1: Adelaide to Barossa Valley (60km). Take the picturesque route through the Adelaide Hills via Chain of Ponds and Kersbrook to Williams Town. See the Whispering Wall on the Barossa Reservoir, messages whispered at one end can clearly be heard at the other - 140 metres away!
2 nights: Abbotsford Country House (B).

Day 2: Barossa Valley. A day to explore the Barossa at your leisure. Visit Peter Lehmann Wines, Penfolds or Wolf Blass or perhaps sample the wines from some of the more unique, cellar doors such as Two Hands Wines. (B).

Day 3: Barossa Valley to Clare Valley (99km). An easy drive to the Clare Valley, one of Australia’s premium cool climate wine regions. Visit the heritage village of Mintaro for a stroll around its traditional buildings and enjoy lunch at one of the many cellar doors.
2 nights: Thorn Park Country House (B).

Day 4: Clare Valley. There are more than 30 cellar doors to explore throughout the Clare Valley, the oldest being Sevenhill Cellars established in 1848. Perhaps follow the Riesling Trail, a self guided walking and cycling path that links many of the wineries and cellar doors (B).

Day 5: Clare Valley to Murray River (280km). Head for the Murray River via Burra. Explore local towns and sample fresh produce at roadside stalls. Overnight: Portee Station (B).

Day 6:
Murray River to Adelaide (243km). Return to Adelaide.
