Arequipa and Colca

Day 1 - Arequipa to Colca
An early morning departure on a wonderful 4 hour journey to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world. En route, drive across Pampa Cañahuas in the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, inhabited by herds of Vicuñas and Alpacas. See beautiful pre-Columbian terraces, still being cultivated by the native Collaguas. On arrival at Colca Valley, transfer to your hotel with free time to stroll around the lodge surroundings or take a repairing bath at the nearby hot springs.

 
Day 2 - Colca to Puno
A very early morning drive to the observation point “Cruz del Condor” from where you can appreciate the grandeur of the canyon and with a bit of luck, spot Andean condors soaring across the high plain. On the return, visit the towns of Maca and Yanque.
