Shopping in China is very popular with a wide range of boutiques, department stores and hotel shopping arcades to explore. Free markets are also becoming increasingly popular in China.
At night, China becomes a world of cultural activities, and there is so much too see. We would recommend the Chinese classic opera, and some of the amazing acrobat displays. In larger towns, you will find modern dance, jazz, rock and classical musical shows. There are movies (which even in Chinese, are entertaining), karaoke, and of course, and some lovely cultural restaurants.

Any British Citizen travelling to China will require a Visa.

Weather
China has a continental Climate. Southern areas are more tropical and northern areas are near the frigid zones.
Transport
China has recently modernised its rail, air and highway systems to meet the increase in foreign travellers, which has resulted in a much improved service and less waiting times. The railway is a relaxing and inexpensive way to see the countryside and trains are consistently punctual.
Freeway systems are still being constructed to make it easier to see areas of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and even Hong Kong. Traffic is not too heavy on most of the highways.

China’s unit of currency is the Renminbi (meaning in Chinese "people's currency")
Health, Hygiene and Safety
No vaccinations are required for a visit to China. Bottled water is recommended for drinking but some hotels’ water is drinkable. Hosptial treatment. There are hospitals in larger cities with good service and medical facilities in case of an emergency.
China is one of the safest places to travel in the world. Crime is very low and almost non-existent offences are against tourists. The British are held in high regard in China. The people are friendly and the laws are strict.
